Google Wave Revolutionizes Communication, Re-Invents Email, Docs, Chat
Nicholas McGill | Uncategorized | Sunday May 31 2009Google is launching a new rich media communication platform called Wave. Their intuitive approach and user interface is absolutely mind boggling. It’s open source, cross compatible with many popular services like Twitter and Blogger.
Wave is a configurable mix and mashup of livechat/email/forums with blogs/collaboration and document sharing. You have to see it to believe it. It is that amazingly different from how we compute now. Smooth, liquid and seamless. Many of the interactions are visible in real time to the group unless you opt for a delay (which is accomplished by simply checking a box). Perhaps even more interesting, are the bots that can be dropped into a wave that allow to publish waves to blogs in real time or live translate chat in real time.
The translation tool alone will change the way we do business with the entire world.
I can’t wait to hear about a wave plugin for WordPress.
